Reviews app
Ginkgo Dino is really two apps in one. Children are invited to explore the prehistoric era first by exploring a lush forest, following Ginkgo -- a wide-eyed monkey-like yet undefinable character -- on a journey to meet dinosaurs and other ancient animals. With every creature there is an opportunity for interaction -- Ginkgo plays with some, shares food with others (and we learn that different dinosaurs like different foods), and shrinks from one or two scary beings. Young players will especially enjoy the leisurely pace and seemingly endless jungle.

Ginko: A Day in the Time of Dinosaurs by Moona Group has just been released and it is no surprise that it has quickly risen to the top of the iTunes App store in several countries, including the US! It deserves this recognition, the app is wonderful for any age if you are interested in this genre. The family team of Maria and Stas Stavinski, along with their children worked in collaboration with several teams of expert paleontologists and it is evident that this app is not fiction but – FAB FUN with loads of factual information all written by scientists that they have collaborated with.
The Ginkgo Dino app is a fun science app for a wide age range of children. Both dino-lovers and those not yet familiar with these now extinct giant beasts will enjoy this experience. Download the app for little kids to play the game, and for older kids to learn from the interactive encyclopedia. This is an app that will grow with your child.
Tech with Kids
Ginkgo Dino: Dinosaurs World Game for Children is a must-have for any dinosaur enthusiast. This engaging app packs enough content to pique the interest of kids and grown-ups alike, and is educational without being boring. It's also very simple and easy to use. Highly recommended!
This colorfully designed resource is packed with scientific information and exploratory learning, but there could be a better balance between text and gameplay. Kids who have a passion to learn all they can about dinosaurs will likely spend a lot of time visiting the ancient forest and paging through the encyclopedia in Ginkgo Dino: Dinosaurs World Game for Children. Less passionate kids with only a spark of curiosity might not be satisfied with the limited gaming opportunities.
common sense media
Parents need to know that Ginkgo Dino: Dinosaurs World Game for Children is an exploratory game and encyclopedia. The game is open-ended and lets kids explore and move about a prehistoric world at their own pace. The encyclopedia is packed with scientific information about dinosaurs and and other reptiles. Because the encyclopedia is text-heavy, some kids might not be able to absorb all of the information, but there are visual supports that help a bit. Read the app's privacy policy to find out about the types of information collected and shared.

I was a book publisher in the past. Plus I was making kid's apps for few last years. Such a project is a test of all our past knowledge and skills. It doesn't look like anything we've done before. And I couldn't say that it was easy for us. But it was interesting. Hope we made it really cool.
